• Kate works at the most expensive haute-couture store in the entire mall. She’s actually broke as hell and the (pathetic) salary they pay her goes 99% to pay her maxed credit cards. She got the job out of pure charisma and a lot of designer trivia, and she’s a little of a douche to some costumers, but she’ll always find the perfect dress for everyone. If she spends a good part of her free time trying on every purple gown in the store, that’s nobody’s business anyways. 
• Tommy works at coffee shop right next to the electrics store. He makes a run around the mall every morning, carrying as much coffee as humanly possible at a speed that nobody can match. The employees just step out of their stores, grab the coffee from his hands and put the change inside his hoodie. By the time he makes it back to the café, he starts pulling bills out of his hoodie and always has at least twice what the coffees were worth. 
• Eli works at the sports store, and he completely despises everyone. Everyone. Even Tommy and Kate, who are always leaning over his counter and trying to chat him up. He’s got his laptop hidden under the counter and is working on college stuff at any given time and (he wouldn’t say this out loud ever) he’s really glad for Tommy bringing him coffee at least once an hour. He hates Kate on principle and scowls at her a lot, but she ignores him and plays around with the archery equipment in the store. 
• Billy works at the café too, as the barista. He often threatens people who lean too much on his counter with physical harm but nobody takes him so seriously. Bored employees from all over the mall sometimes sit near the counter just so they can see Billy making annoyed faces on the phone (‘no, Loki, we’re not bringing you a single muffin to your shop during happy hour, we’re busy, damn it,’ he mutters on the phone, and threatens with ripping the phone at Loki’s store out of the wall.)
• David works at the electronics store next to the café, and everyone goes to him everytime they have issues with their phones or their stores’ computer fails. David suspects that Loki is purposefully fucking up with the mall’s open wifi just to annoy him, but he has no proof. 
• Teddy and Cassie both work at the pizza place, Cassie as a waiter and Teddy in the kitchen. Teddy always puts heart-shaped pepperoni when Billy comes over for lunch (Billy hasn’t been able to eat anything sold at the café since his third month working there, after eating nine Giant Fluffy Muffins in a row), Cassie plays pranks on the asshole customers who are rude to her or any other employee. She still gets the best tips, though. 
• America is probably the scariest guard in the entire mall, and nobody dares ask her to watch over their island so they can go for a smoke. The only people who actually dare speak to her are Kate and David. David greets her every day and sometimes they chat outside of his store; Kate gets bored with work and walks behind America around the entire mall while telling her all the gossip. 
• David and Tommy are the only ones who know of the emergency passage that gets you from the third floor to the first in just a second.
• Loki was the one to discover that Management has a private garden that they don’t actually use and steal a copy of the keys.
• Kate spends way too often sneaking out to the mall’s roof and chatting up Moira and Julio from the restaurant.
• Teddy always breaks the throw-all-the-left-overs rule and, after the mall’s closed, shares re-heated pizza with the people who are still closing up their stores. 
• Noh-Varr works at the music store and everyone in the mall suspects that he’s always stoned.
